McBrides Chartered Accountants in Sidcup has announced the appointment of Nigel Ling as partner.

Ling moves from audit director to join the seven other partners at McBrides with nearly 25 years experience at the firm.

He trained and qualified with the firm and became the fifth person to have done so and gone on to make partner.

He joined McBrides as a graduate chartered accountant trainee in 1999 following a brief stint in engineering.

Ling said: “I am excited to join the leadership team as a Partner at McBrides, a place where I trained, honed my skills and enjoy working with our incredible range of clients. Becoming a partner hopefully demonstrates to younger members of the team that the pathway from apprentice to and partner is there for everyone at McBrides.”

Tanya Hamilton, managing partner at the firm, also started as a graduate trainee with the firm and became managing partner in June 2023.

She added: “We are delighted that Nigel has become a partner in the business. Over the years he has demonstrated his expertise with clients and is an excellent leader in the audit arena.”
