Claritas Tax has announced the appointment of Dominic Preist as new head of sales.

Preist has over 35 years experience in senior sales positions and joins Claritas to lead their sales and business development initiatives.

He is based in Bristol but will be utilised across the firm’s other offices. His role will be to develop and execute a business development strategy that delivers sustained growth for the firm, combining all its service line expertise into strategically defined sectors.

Regarding his appointment, Preist said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with Iain, Matt, and the whole Claritas team. Having worked for a partner organisation I could see the fantastic work the team here at Claritas are doing for their clients together with the exciting journey the business was on.

“I’m delighted to be able to join the Claritas team on that journey and to be able to bring the whole bandwidth of the service offering to our existing and prospective clients and partners.”

Matthew Hodgson, partner and head of the Manchester office at Claritas, said: “Claritas are embarking on a very exciting chapter, and we are delighted to have Dominic on board.

“Taking on the head of sales role is a natural next step for Claritas, and one where I believe he can make a significant impact as we deliver on our ambitious growth strategy. Dominic’s focus will be on both external initiatives and building our preexisting client relationships, ensuring that all of our services are articulated to these audiences.”

Iain Wright, founding partner and head of the Birmingham office, added: “I’m delighted to have Dominic leading in this new key business role and taking on the challenge of meeting our growth targets for this financial year and beyond. Our firm will continue to benefit from Dominic’s well-established reputation, insights, and expertise. Through this appointment, we will continue to drive our ambitious growth targets, building on the solid foundation that we already have.”
