Accounting and consulting firm Crowe has secured a significant equity investment from global investment firm KKR.
Funds managed by KKR will invest in the newly formed Crowe Advisory to become its first institutional capital partner.
The transaction will finance recruitment, technology development, and service line expansion across the firm.
The professional services business has operated for more than 80 years in the United States, providing tax, audit, and advisory services to corporations.
The transaction is expected to close in the third calendar quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
Prior to completion, Crowe will reorganise into an alternative practice structure. Crowe Advisory will provide all tax, advisory, and non-attest services, while the licensed partnership Crowe LLP will continue to deliver regulated audit services.
