Crowe has promoted Ben Carter and Charlie Copp to partner. The move follows a series of senior hires as the firm expands its mid-market and professional services offerings.

Carter has been promoted within the professional practices team. He specialises in tax advisory for partnerships and LLPs, with a focus on salaried members legislation and international expansion.

Meanwhile, Copp becomes a partner in the corporate finance team. He advises on transactions ranging from £10m to £50m and serves as the firm’s industry lead for life sciences and healthcare.

The promotions follow recent partner appointments including Mark Dyer in the VAT and customs practice and Bhavin Bharakda in consulting.

Crowe currently provides benchmarking and advisory services to owner-managed businesses and SMEs.

Carter joined the firm in 2011 and leads the annual law firm benchmarking report. He said: “I’m delighted to join the partnership at Crowe. As I mark my 15th year with the firm, I’m genuinely excited to continue my journey here and to play a key role in driving the ongoing growth and future development of our Professional Practices team.”

Copp started his career at the firm and manages cross-border M&A transactions involving North American and European buyers.

He added: “I’m thrilled to join the partnership. Having started my career at Crowe, it is especially rewarding to take this step within the firm. Following an outstanding year for the Corporate Finance team in 2025, we are well positioned to build on this momentum with a strong pipeline and a number of live transactions.”

Nigel Bostock, chief executive at Crowe UK, concluded: “We are pleased to welcome Charlie and Ben to the partnership as the firm continues to strengthen and deepen its expertise and capabilities. Both promotions reflect the depth of talent within Crowe and our commitment to supporting businesses and professional practices with sector-led, insight-driven advice.”
