KPMG has appointed Callum Licence as its new group head of advisory for the UK and Switzerland, effective from 1 July.
Licence replaces Lisa Fernihough, who has led the group advisory function for the past two years. Fernihough will move into a new role as advisory vice chair.
Licence joined the firm in 2020, having previously worked at Accenture and UBS, managed financial services engagements and served as lead partner on several global accounts.
He is a member of the group board and will join the executive committee.
Fernihough has worked at the firm for more than 30 years. She managed the recent integration of the UK and Swiss advisory practices.
She will step down from her current role on 1 July but will support Licence for the remainder of the financial year.
Group chief executive Jon Holt said: “Lisa has done an outstanding job bringing together and leading our UK, and now Group, Advisory business. Over the past two years she has been instrumental in evolving how we use AI to support our clients.
“I am looking forward to working with Callum as he takes on this critical role; he brings deep expertise, strong leadership, and real belief in the power of our people to drive the next chapter of growth.”
Fernihough added: “It has been a privilege to build our Advisory business over the past two years. I’m incredibly proud of everything we’ve achieved. Leading this business through such an important period of change has meant a great deal to me, and none of it would have been possible without the talent, commitment and teamwork of our people.
“I am confident that Callum will lead the business to further success and look forward to working alongside him over the coming months as I hand over the baton.”
Licence concluded: “I’m delighted to be stepping into this role at such an exciting time. Our clients are navigating a fast-changing and increasingly complex environment; transforming how they operate, adapting to AI, and responding to global uncertainty. I’m looking forward to working with our talented people to bring the full strength of our Advisory practice to help our clients achieve their ambitions and grow.”
