UHY Hacker Young has announced the promotion of Michelle Hughes to partner today (1 May) to lead its Kent operations.
Hughes, who joined the firm in 2017 and qualified as a chartered accountant two years later, specialises in complex audit and accounts.
She has served as an audit manager since 2021, focusing on sizable corporate groups and overseas subsidiaries. Hughes also works with non-profit entities, including academy schools, and holds expertise in UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.
Andrew Cooper, managing partner at UHY Hacker Young’s Kent office, said: “Michelle’s promotion to partner reflects her long-term dedication, hard work and consistent contribution throughout her time at our Kent offices.
“She has been a valued colleague over the years and I am confident she will continue to make a meaningful contribution in her new role and play an important part in the firm’s ongoing growth and success.”
