Audit, accounting, tax and business advisory firm JS has opened an office at The Plaza on Old Hall Street in Liverpool.

The new location in the city’s commercial district will be led by JS partners Angela Harrison and Neil Kelly, supported by a team of more than 100 technical staff, including local hires.

The office complements the firm’s existing headquarters in Warrington, and the new opening follows a management buyout of the firm in April 2024.

JS said the opening responds to increased demand from small and medium-sized enterprises and owner-managed businesses in the Liverpool City Region.

Lucy Williams, managing partner at JS, said: “Opening our Liverpool office is a defining step in our long-term strategy of sustainable growth whilst maintaining a personal, relationship driven service. By retaining our independence, we’ve been able to invest with purpose based purely on our aims and ambitions.

“Liverpool is a special place to me personally as it is where I started my career. I have seen the city go from strength to strength, and I am really proud that JS is joining the city’s truly remarkable business community. Our new base will enable us to build even stronger relationships with businesses across the Liverpool City Region and continue supporting them in their growth journeys and pivotal moments.”

Partners Angela Harrison and Neil Kelly, added: “We have been proud members of Liverpool’s professional services community for more than 25 years, so it’s exciting to share this news that JS has established its new office in the city.

“Liverpool is home to dynamic, ambitious businesses that play a vital role in the wider North West economy. Building upon our long-standing local connections, whilst bringing a fresh perspective through our talented team of advisers, we can’t wait to get underway on delivering the highest standards of service and expertise that we’re known for.”
