Grant Thornton UK has appointed Frederik Vinten as its new chief commercial officer (CCO) to help lead the firm’s commercial growth plans and strengthen its client engagement.
Vinten, whose appointment follows a recent investment in the firm from Cinven, brings more than two decades of leadership experience across global consulting, financial services, strategy and business transformation.
Most recently, Vinten served as EMEA chief operating officer at FTI Consulting, where he oversaw the firm’s corporate operating model. Prior to this, he held senior commercial and strategic roles across leading global organisations, including as partner at Spencer Stuart, executive board member at Danske Bank, and head of Strategy and M&A at Maersk Line.
He began his career at McKinsey and Company and later advised multinational businesses as a senior advisor at Boston Consulting Group.
In his new role, Vinten will lead Grant Thornton UK’s commercial strategy, drive integrated go-to-market initiatives and strengthen the firm’s client engagement across all service lines.
Malcolm Gomersall, CEO at Grant Thornton UK, said: “Frederik’s commercial acumen and global experience will be instrumental in our next phase of growth. His ability to transform strategy at pace will be a major catalyst as we accelerate our momentum and strengthen the impact we deliver for clients across the firm.”
Vinten added: “Grant Thornton truly stands out as the most dynamic and forward-thinking firm in professional services. The exceptional quality of its work, distinctive culture and ambitious plans to redefine the modern profession make this an incredibly exciting journey to be part of.”
Grant Thornton’s strategic leadership team functions as the day-to-day executive management body for the firm. Members of this rotating partner team report directly to the chief executive and manage the firm’s strategic direction.
