Tree Accountancy has acquired the full client portfolio of Pomegranate Consulting Limited, a move intended to scale its regional operations and broaden its advisory offering.

The acquisition is the firm’s second in three years and forms a core part of its “Scale to Success” growth strategy.

Pomegranate Consulting is a chartered accountants based in Manchester City Centre and London, offering its expertise on all areas from personal tax to business finance

The deal includes the transfer of three key staff members to the Tree Accountancy team: Azeem Jilani joins as tax senior, Joanna Mazik as accountant, and Simon Vincent as manager.

The integration aims to reinforce the firm’s long-term commitment to the Manchester business community while providing a foundation for future expansion into other UK regions.

Through the acquisition, former Pomegranate clients will gain access to Tree’s expanded suite of digital compliance tools and forward-looking advisory services.

The firm stated that the move allows for further investment into new service lines and best-practice technology.

Nik Hynes, partner at Tree Accountancy, said: “This is a really exciting step for Tree. We’ve known the team behind this practice for many years and we’ve always admired the way they work. Most importantly, clients will now benefit from the full range of Tree’s services, along with the added collaboration and innovation we bring.

“Growth has always been about more than numbers – it’s about building long-term partnerships with clients and supporting their ambitions. This acquisition is a natural step that allows us to do even more of that.”

Ansar Mahmood, director at Pomegranate, added: “We’re delighted our clients will be joining Tree. We’ve always respected their approach and know our clients will be in safe hands, with access to a wider range of services.”
