PKF Francis Clark has strengthened its corporate finance team in Southampton with a trio of appointments.
Transaction services specialist Darren Phillips has joined as a corporate finance director, following the arrivals of analyst Sam Willis and senior associate Will Birchall.
The firm said Phillips brings over three decades’ experience with international advisory firms, including particular expertise in due diligence on high-value deals in the energy and healthcare sectors. The move sees him reunited with Andrew Killick, PKF Francis Clark’s head of corporate finance, 20 years after they worked together at a Big Four firm.
Meanwhile, Birchall has joined PKF Francis Clark after five years with Deloitte, and Willis previously gained corporate finance experience with Scrutton Bland.
Paul Stout, corporate finance partner and head of PKF Francis Clark’s Southampton office, said: “We’re continuing to invest in specialist expertise as we expand our reach and offering to clients in the region and beyond. Darren is well-known in the business community and his arrival is a major milestone in our growth strategy. His track record as a senior dealmaker makes him a valuable addition to the team.
“With the addition of Will and Sam to the team, we’re enhancing our capacity to deliver outstanding results for businesses and entrepreneurs looking to raise capital, exit or pursue strategic growth.”
Phillips added: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining PKF Francis Clark. It’s great to join a firm with such a strong reputation across audit, tax and advisory. The corporate finance team has been growing exceptionally well and consistently punches above its weight.
“I enjoy helping clients with transactions, which are often a completely new experience to them, and mentoring colleagues to progress in their careers. I look forward to working with Andrew again and playing my part in the continued development of the team.”
