The Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) has announced pass rates for students who sat its exams in the December 2025 sitting, saying that this cohort forms the largest volume of exams taken since December 2021.
A total of 120,633 students entered the December session, during which 137,609 exams were completed, according to the association.
In addition, 4,852 students completed all their exams and will move to affiliate status. They are expected to progress to full membership, joining more than 257,000 ACCA members worldwide.
The results also include exams delivered through ACCA’s on-demand offering for Foundation Diplomas, Applied Knowledge and Law. These accounted for a further 43,674 exams.
Alan Hatfield, executive director of content, quality and innovation at ACCA, said: “We begin 2026 with a strong set of results from the largest volume of exams taken since December 2021.
“In December we were also delighted to welcome the first applications for our new BSc (Hons) Professional Accountancy collaboration with the University of London.”
Hatfield pointed to increased use of ACCA’s learning support tools ahead of the session, including its computer-based exam (CBE) Practice Platform, and ongoing support for Approved Learning Providers.
ACCA has also revealed it is continuing to roll out a redesigned version of its qualification and has put measures in place to ensure a smooth transition for existing and new students, with prior achievements recognised and no additional cost or progression disadvantage.
