Grant Thornton International has reported record global revenues of $8.5bn (£6.3bn) for the year ended 30 September 2025, up 6.1% in constant currency compared with the previous year.

Revenue growth of 5.9% in US dollar terms marked the end of a five-year strategy cycle under chief executive Peter Bodin, during which the network’s revenues rose from $6.6bn (£4.9bn) in 2021 to $8.5bn (£6.3bn). This represents a compound annual growth rate of 6.5%.

Assurance remained the largest service line, accounting for 44.8% of total revenues after growing by 7.9% to $3.8bn (£2.8bn). Advisory revenues increased by 4.7% to $3bn (£2.2bn), representing 35.1% of the total, while tax grew by 4.5% to $1.7bn (£1.2bn), or 20.1%.

Regional performance was led by Africa, where revenues rose by 16.2% to $140m (£105m). Asia Pacific reported growth of 11.2% to $1.4bn (£1.05bn), Europe and the Middle East increased by 7.4% to $3.3bn (£2.4bn), and the Americas grew by 2.7% to $3.6bn (£2.7bn).

Grant Thornton said several strategic growth markets recorded double-digit increases, including Singapore, India, the Philippines, Brazil and Thailand. Other markets posting strong growth included Türkiye, Greece, the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, South Korea, France and Australia.

The network’s global headcount rose by 5.3% year-on-year to about 80,000 people. Overall, 93 member firms reported revenue growth during the year, with 53% achieving double-digit increases.

Bodin said: “Over the past five years, we have delivered sustainable organic growth – a long-term trend that positions us strongly for the future.”

According to Bodin, the firm’s network had focused on serving mid-market businesses and adapting to changes such as private equity investment in member firms, describing these as “exciting opportunities for our network and our clients”.

Grant Thornton also announced that Bodin is due to be succeeded as chief executive by Greg Keith.
