Cowgills has appointed Keeley Lord as director in its business recovery team, as the North West accountancy firm continues to expand its restructuring practice.

Lord joins after 16 years at Begbies Traynor, where she qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 2014.

A fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, she brings experience in corporate insolvency, restructuring and turnaround.

Her arrival follows a series of changes within the business recovery team this year, including the recruitment of Steve Marshall as case administrator and the promotions of Janette Elliott to director and Hannah Brown to assistant manager.

Cowgills, which recently acquired Wigan-based accountancy practice NRB, now employs more than 250 people across the region.

Craig Johns, partner at Cowgills, said: “We are delighted to welcome Keeley to the team. She brings a wealth of experience, a proven track record, and a broad range of specialisms that will allow us to support even more businesses across the North West and beyond.”
