Four accountants from Aberdeen-based firm Hall Morrice have been named among Scotland’s Top 35 Under 35 chartered accountants.

Frazer McCuaig, Lewis Wilshire, Ross Milne and Peter Cowan were recognised in this year’s Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) list, which highlights young CAs contributing to the profession through innovation, leadership and community work.

Cowan, audit and accounts director, was also named winner of the Innovator category for leading digital transformation at the firm.

His work has included introducing cloud-based systems and Power BI dashboards to improve efficiency and client insight. He also represents the firm in PrimeGlobal’s IT Communities of Practice, helping to shape international best practice in accountancy technology.

The ICAS judging panel said: “Peter is a prime example of a CA who is both forward and outward-looking. He exemplifies a new generation of strategic leaders in accountancy, driving digital transformation while fostering strong client and team relationships.”

Louise Smith, partner at Hall Morrice, added: “To have four of our team named in ICAS’ Top 35 Under 35 is a phenomenal achievement, and we’re really pleased to see Peter’s innovation and leadership recognised at the highest level.”
