Accountancy and advisory firm MHA has appointed John Bryant as corporate finance partner in its Birmingham office to lead mergers and acquisitions (M&A) work across the Midlands.

Bryant has more than 25 years’ experience in corporate finance in the region, including roles at NatWest and several of the UK’s top 10 accountancy firms.

He specialises in advising mid-market companies, particularly in the industrials and manufacturing sectors, and has expertise in disposals, acquisitions, management buyouts and private equity transactions.

MHA’s UK corporate finance team now numbers more than 40 staff. Bryant’s appointment is part of a wider push to grow the firm’s presence in the Midlands market.

Andrew Feeke, head of corporate finance at MHA, said: “John’s experience and deep knowledge of the area make him the perfect recruit to spearhead our ambitions to become the adviser of choice for Midlands companies looking to undertake M&A activities, invest or restructure their ownership to support growth.”

Bryant added: “I have a real passion for making a difference to our clients, whether this is helping them realise the true value of their business or assisting them to begin a new journey with an investment partner.”
