Cowgills has announced the promotion of Andy Bates to partner within its accounts team, taking the firm’s partner number to 33.
Bates joined the firm in 2002 and over the last two decades has become a “key member”, managing a “significant” accounts portfolio of clients across the North West region.
Bates said: “Being made a partner at Cowgills is a real proud moment for me. Having spent virtually my entire career here, I’ve seen first-hand the firm’s evolution and I’m proud to have played a part in that journey.
“I’ve always been passionate about getting to know clients and understanding their businesses, going on a journey of growth with them and building a team that lives and breathes the Cowgills culture. It’s an incredibly exciting time to be part of Cowgills as we keep growing across the region, and I’m looking forward to what’s next in this new chapter of my career at Cowgills.”
Managing partner Paul Stringer said: “Andy’s promotion is thoroughly well deserved. He is not only a trusted advisor to our clients but is a fantastic ambassador for the firm.
“His ability to spot opportunities for clients and proactively involve other parts of the business is exactly what sets us apart in the marketplace, delivering a joined-up, full-service offering for growing and entrepreneurial businesses.”
He added: “Andy’s journey is a brilliant example of where hard work and commitment can take you. He’s played a major part in the development of our accounts service, and I know he’ll continue to shape and support the next generation of talent within Cowgills.”
Cowgills now employs over 250 people across its Bolton, Manchester, Liverpool and Wigan offices, with continued investment into its teams and services to support the region’s SME sector.
