Quantuma has announced the appointment of Chris Newell as its UK head of restructuring and insolvency.

Newell succeeds Carl Jackson, who has stepped into the role of chair.

A licensed insolvency practitioner and accountant, Newell joined Quantuma in 2013 and will continue as regional lead for the Thames Valley alongside his new responsibilities.

Newell’s appointment comes after the hire of Sam Gaunt as managing director for restructuring and insolvency in London.

Jackson said: “I am very pleased to hand over the reins for our growing restructuring and insolvency team to my colleague Chris Newell who I am certain will be a great leader in his new role. Chris brings boundless energy and positivity to the position, combined with a highly collaborative approach, so I am sure that his vision will drive even more positive results for the team, as we continue on our ambitious growth trajectory.”

Newell added: “I am delighted to be taking on this new role, as we continue to implement our growth plans around the UK. I look forward to working with our other regional heads to help drive the business forward.

“We have exciting plans for our restructuring team which include a drive for quality lateral hires on a national basis. Earlier this year, we were joined by managing directors Sam Gaunt and Tom Parish in London, which has further strengthened our team. I look forward to adding further experts to our team, enabling us to further support even more business clients.”
