S&W Accountants has announced the appointment of two new audit partners at its London office, strengthening its financial services and private equity practices.

Keith Wood joins the professional services firm from EY, and brings over 15 years of experience in asset management and real estate. He has worked across New York, Sydney, Hong Kong and London, leading audits for clients including asset managers, real estate firms, exchange-traded fund (ETF) providers, sovereign wealth funds and private equity businesses.

Wood said: “I’m thrilled to join S&W at such a dynamic time in the professional services industry. The firm’s culture of serving clients through opportunity and complexity, developing skilled people that know the industry and effectively leveraging technology are just a few reasons I was drawn to S&W.”

Meanwhile, Gary Tamkin has previously advised international groups, private equity-backed companies and fast-growing start-ups. His recent work has focused on the consumer, care, hospitality and private aviation sectors.

Tamkin said: “Linked to their growth ambition, there is a clear focus in the team on the importance of a client centric approach which resonated with me. Under the refreshed branding and S&W name there is a positive and exciting sense of drive and momentum, reinforced by strong leadership.”

Mark Bishop, head of audit and assurance at S&W, added: “We’re delighted to be welcoming not one, but two exceptional partners in Keith and Gary. Keith’s vast experience and energy will add strength to our already highly regarded financial services audit team, whilst Gary’s insight and connections in the private equity market will support our continued growth in this pivotal market.

“These appointments are testament to our continued investment in these dynamic markets. We are thrilled to have them both on board as we continue to deliver market leading growth.”
