Reckitt Benckiser Group, a British multinational consumer goods company, has announced the appointment of PwC as auditors.

It comes as Reckitt completed a formal tender process for its external auditor, recommending the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) from the 2026 financial year.

The process, overseen by the audit committee, evaluated competing proposals and led to a recommendation that has now been endorsed by the board. A resolution to appoint PwC as external auditor from the year ending 31 December 2026 will be put to shareholders at the 2026 annual general meeting.

KPMG, which has served as Reckitt’s external auditor since the 2018 financial year, will remain in post until then. It will carry out the audit for the year ending 31 December 2025 and step down following the 2026 meeting.

PwC was previously Reckitt’s auditor for around two decades before it was replaced by KPMG in 2018.

Reckitt is a global consumer goods company with approximately 40,000 employees. Its portfolio includes hygiene, health, and nutrition brands such as Dettol, Lysol, Durex, Nurofen, Finish, Vanish, Calgon, Enfamil, Strepsils, Air Wick and Harpic. The company operates in around 60 countries and distributes more than 20 million products worldwide each day .
