Hazlewoods Corporate Finance team has supported Kids Planet with its latest acquisition of Perfect Start Day Nurseries, a group of eight settings across Surrey, West Sussex and Kent.

Kids Planet was founded in 2008 with two settings and has grown significantly over the last 17 years and now operates across over 230 sites.

This acquisition represents an extension of Kids Planet’s ongoing mission to provide the highest standard of early years care and education, supporting children and families across the UK.

Hazlewoods Corporate Finance supported Kids Planet by providing financial due diligence, tax due diligence and acquisition advisory services.

Colin Anderton, chief financial officer at Kids Planet, said: “Hazlewoods are a highly valued partner and advisor.  The support from the Corporate Finance team on our recent acquisition was of an extremely high quality and delivered in line with our ambitious timeframe.

“The team were flexible and responsive to our requests, and the insight gained from their work supported our negotiations and allowed us to get ahead on integration plans.”

Rob Burns, Hazlewoods director, added: “It has been a pleasure working closely with Colin and the wider Kids Planet M&A team, and I am delighted that we have successfully completed this transaction.

“This deal provides Kids Planet with an exciting opportunity to take the business forward and continue to expand their expert early years education services across the southeast of England. We wish them all the best.”
