Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP has strengthened its audit team in the Thames Valley with the appointment of Adam Beasant as partner in its Reading office.
Beasant joins BDO from PwC, where he has spent more than 20 years as an audit director.
The firm said he brings a wealth of experience to BDO working with a range of audited entities from early start-ups, through to mid-market businesses and FTSE 100 companies.
He has developed specific expertise in technology, business and professional services, insurance, wealth management, software and manufacturing.
David Brookes, head of BDO in Thames Valley and the South West, said: “Adam has built an excellent reputation in the region over the last two decades and will add real strength and depth to our audit proposition as we look to grow our local market presence.
“His understanding of the regional business landscape across a breadth of sectors will further bolster our expertise and experience, particularly amongst mid-sized businesses, which is an area where the firm has achieved strong and sustainable growth in recent years. We’re delighted to have someone of his calibre onboard.”
Beasant added: “I’m really looking forward to working alongside such a highly respected and talented team in Reading. One of the things I love most about my job is creating a challenging, yet rewarding environment for teams to thrive and grow. There are some really exciting opportunities in the Thames Valley and we are perfectly positioned to capitalise on these, as we cement our position amongst those mid-market businesses that drive our regional economy.”
