BK Plus has advised on the sale of JB Kind, a door distributor based in Swadlincote, South Derbyshire.

The company’s business and trade assets have been acquired by an investment group with significant experience in manufacturing and distribution, ensuring continued operations and future investment.

According to BK Plus, the business had faced a challenging period prior to the sale, and the acquisition provides an opportunity for “stability and restructuring” under new leadership.

It also ensures that JB Kind’s “long-standing” customer base will continue to be served while providing a platform for investment and operational improvements under the new owners.

Richard Tonks, head of Advisory Services at BK Plus, said: “JB Kind is a well-known name in the sector, and while the business has encountered difficulties, this acquisition ensures continuity for employees and customers. The new ownership group has the experience and resources to take JB Kind forward, and we are pleased to have played a role in facilitating this outcome.”

Simon Johnson, commercial director at JB Kind, added: “Our focus remains on serving our customers, and we look forward to working with the new ownership team to maintain the strong relationships we have built over the years. While the business has faced challenges, we are hopeful that this transition will provide the stability and resources needed to move forward.”
