Sumer has continued its expansion with the merger of London-based audit and advisory firm, HW Fisher. HW Fisher joins the Sumer network with its 300-strong team that provides expert accountancy, audit, tax, corporate and advisory services to entrepreneurs, high growth SMEs, corporates and high-net-worth individuals.

The firm has “significant” expertise in supporting larger clients, in specialist areas such as royalty audit services, family offices, the not-for-profit sector, entertainment, media and sports organisations.

As well as supporting Sumer’s core client base, Sumer said the merger will enable it to expand its service offering.

Warren Mead, CEO of Sumer, said: “We have big aspirations for HW Fisher, supported by a shared ambition to grow. The team stood out for their seamless collaboration and quality client service. Welcoming HW Fisher enables us to extend our support to larger privately owned clients and family offices.”

Andrew Rich, managing partner at HW Fisher, added: “As a close-knit firm running for nearly a century, our ethos has always been about giving personable advice and trusted expertise. We’ve always been ambitious and Sumer matches our mindset and will help us realise our vision.”

Since its inception, Sumer has grown rapidly through acquisitions and now employs more than 2,000 people across 43 offices, and generates revenues of over £177m per year.

Sumer Hubs include: Carpenter Box, Cowgills, DPC Accountants, EQ Chartered Accountants, Jerroms, Monahans, RMT Accountants and Business Advisors, R.T. Marke and Co Ltd, Scrutton Bland, Simmons Gainsford Group, Sumer Northern Ireland and now HW Fisher.
