PKF Littlejohn Advisory has been appointed as the liquidator of Liverpool-based Big Help Project Limited, an entity associated with the Big Help Project charity.
Owned by one of the charity trustees, a former Labour councillor, the charity is currently being investigated as to whether potential misconduct or mismanagement was to blame for “significant” financial losses.
Insolvency practitioners Stratford Hamilton and James Sleight from PKF Littlejohn are the joint liquidators.
The charity commission, which has launched an inquiry into the Big Help Project, has expressed concern over trustee decision making, potential unauthorised trustee benefit, and unmanaged conflict of interest.
