Crowe UK has relocated its Thames Valley office to Reading’s ‘R+’ building following a period of growth, in a move that “reaffirms its long-term commitment to the town”.

The move comes as the Reading office has doubled its business over the last few years. It is now housed in the bigger 13,000 sq. ft workspace on the fifth floor of the sustainable ‘R+’ building. According to Crowe, the office has seen substantial growth across all of its business, including auditing, tax and financial planning and business solutions for corporates, pension schemes, not for profit clients and professional practices alike.

The Thames Valley team has also seen a-near two-thirds increase in headcount to nearly 200 employees over the last four years. Its relocation will now increase its workspace capacity, allowing it to continue recruitment in the area.

The firm already employs over 50 graduates and apprentices in its Thames Valley office as part of its Early Years recruitment and will welcome more trainees, including those through its established workplace secondment scheme and the 10,000 Black Interns programme.

CEO Nigel Bostock said: “Our strategic vision has seen the firm grow substantially over the last few years, spurring us to find an outstanding office space which supports our people and long-term business growth in Reading and the wider Thames Valley region.

“The combination of a highly educated talent pool, excellent transport connections and a strong, innovative economy, which has a diverse presence of finance, energy, technology, pharmaceutical companies, reflects our belief the town is a great place for business and an economic powerhouse of the South East.”

Jeremy Cooper, Reading Office managing partner, added: “We’re delighted on our relocation to the prestigious R+ building. This is an exciting move for Crowe and demonstrates our continued commitment in providing excellent support to our people and growing client base in the Thames Valley region and creates the best environment from which to drive our business forward for the future.

“Securing the large top floor creates a more spacious, sustainable and modern workspace allowing our people to thrive, collaborate and meet clients, while also being conveniently situated opposite the train station in the heart of the town centre to support our hybrid working policies.”
