Begbies Traynor has advised on the sale of specialist landscaping company AC Landscapes and Treeworks UK Ltd as a going concern to a third party.
Gary Lee and Paul Stanley, who are both based at its Manchester office, were appointed as joint administrators.
The sale resulted in Begbies Traynor saving up to 34 jobs.
Established in 2007, AC Landscapes and Treeworks provides vegetation management, landscaping, and arboricultural consultancy services across the UK’s Strategic Highways and Electricity Distribution sectors.
The £4m turnover company operates across the North West, North East, Midlands and the South West and holds a number of strategic, long-term frameworks with National Highways.
It has now been acquired by an unconnected third party enabling it to fulfil its existing contracts.
Lee, partner at Begbies Traynor in Manchester, said: “We are pleased to confirm the completion of the sale of the business and its assets as a going concern which provides continuity for the customers and all the staff.
“The acquisition is an excellent strategic fit for the purchaser expanding its existing presence in the strategic highways sector and providing additional capability to support the water sector with the implementation of nature-based solutions.”
