Evelyn Partners has appointed Stephen Drew as regional managing partner to lead its professional services team in Cambridge in a newly expanded role.
Drew has been with Evelyn Partners for 25 years. As regional managing partner, he is responsible for leading the professional services team in the firm’s Birmingham office, where he has “successfully tripled both headcount and revenue in the last four years”.
Drew will also be focussed on growing the business across its professional service lines, expanding into new sectors, such as medical and healthcare, pharma, agritech. He will also utilise wider Evelyn Partners “capabilities” and “expertise” in R&D, global mobility, assurance, outsourcing and advisory services.
The appointment follows Evelyn Partners’ acquisition of Ashcroft Partnership in April 2023 which gave the group “a presence for its professional services business in Cambridge”. The 43-strong team, based on Trumpington High Street offers clients a range of assurance, corporate finance, business and personal tax services.
The Cambridge team was recently expanded with new senior hires from Big Four firms. Suzy Hawkey and Mark Prince joined Evelyn Partners in November, formerly of Deloitte and KPMG respectively. Hawkey is a director of private client services and Prince is an audit partner, focussed on building the Cambridge audit team and proposition.
