BDO has announced the appointment of Jo Jones and Chris Cole as partners to its audit stream in its regional offices.

Jones joins the Southampton office, from PwC with a special focus on audit quality, culture and people development.

Her audit experience spans a wide range of industries, including retail, leisure and tourism, technology, and pharma.

She specialises in multinational groups, particularly those that are US and UK listed, PE-backed businesses and privately-owned companies.

Cole joins the Nottingham office from KPMG with a particular expertise in auditing US-listed businesses under the United States Public Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards, including auditing SOX controls.

Paul Eagland, managing partner at BDO, said: “Jo and Chris’s appointments are a key part of our ongoing strategic investment into audit quality. Having the right people in place in our regional hubs to support audited entities through the complex areas of audit and assurance is vital.”

BDO operates in 17 offices across the UK, employing 7,500 people offering tax, audit and assurance, and a range of advisory services.
