UHY Hacker Young Manchester has been shortlisted twice in this year’s Insider North West Dealmakers Awards.

The firm’s corporate finance team has been selected as a finalist for the Mid-Market Corporate Finance Team of the Year award alongside its CEO, David Kendrick, who is among the top candidates for the Dealmaker of the Year award.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on 12 October at Manchester Central.

UHY Manchester’s team has successfully concluded 15 deals during the year, resulting in a total deal value of over £350m.

Peter Williams, corporate finance partner, said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted at the North West Dealmakers Awards which is always a fantastic evening to celebrate the region’s successes.

“The team has worked incredibly hard over the past few years for our clients in what is a very competitive region; being shortlisted for two awards is testament to their efforts and we look forward to building on this in the future.”

CEO Kendrick, who specialised within the automotive marketplace, is well-known for being the number one automotive advisor in the UK, with over 150 automotive transactions under his belt. Over the past year, with a small support team, he has delivered a significant proportion of the team’s deals.

Regarding the news of being shortlisted twice, Kendrick said: “I am proud that the team has been shortlisted which acknowledges the progress that has been made over the past few years – very well deserved indeed.

“Being shortlisted for Dealmaker of the Year personally just tops it off, however it’s all about the team for me.”
