Azets has recently announced that Praveen Gupta, UK head of tax, has won Accounting Partner of the Year at the first British Asian Professional Awards.

The inaugural British Asian Professional Awards was hosted on Friday 1 September and celebrates the outstanding achievements and contributions of British Asian professionals across various industries.

A spokesperson for the awards said: “We are delighted to recognise these exceptional individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields and have made a significant difference in our society. Their dedication, innovation, and leadership serve as an inspiration to us all.

“The creation of these awards aims to acknowledge and commemorate the remarkable achievements of individuals who have left a profound mark in their respective domains. Additionally, these awards are designed to promote diversity and inclusivity within the British professional arena.”

Regarding the award, Gupta said: “I am truly honoured and overjoyed to receive the Accounting Partner of the Year award.
