Crowe has announced that its head of sustainability, Alex Hindson, has been ranked as one of the top 25 sustainability consultants and leaders of 2023 by The Consulting Report.

With 35 years of experience in the field of sustainability, Hindson began his career in 1988 at ICI Specialities as a process engineer before moving on to Zeneca Pharmaceuticals.

He eventually rose to become chief risk and sustainability officer at Argo Group, his most recent position prior to joining Crowe.

Hindson graduated from the University of Nottingham, with an MEng in chemical engineering, and from the University of Bath by earning an MS in integrated environmental management.

Crowe, which functions as an independent member within Crowe Global, is also ranked among the top 10 accounting networks worldwide. As The Consulting Report states, the firm possesses “exceptional familiarity with the business environment, the firm’s professionals collectively uphold a singular commitment—to ensure the delivery of excellence.”

Commenting on the achievement, Hindson said: “Having joined Crowe UK as partner and head of sustainability in January, it is a great honour and a lovely surprise to be recognised in The Consulting Report’s Top 25 Sustainability Consultants and Leaders of 2023.

“With my long-standing commitment to driving successful change in sustainability and climate risk management, it is great to have a strong risk consulting team around me at Crowe UK and to be working on some interesting and challenging client engagements.”
