MHA has successfully advised Wayte Travel Management, a specialist in providing travel management services for businesses, on the acquisition of Quintessentially Corporate Travel Management, a dynamic business travel management company providing integrated travel solutions to meet bespoke business goals.
The acquisition of QCTM’s parent company, CJ Leigh Travel, cements Wayte’s presence in the travel management sector and puts their ranking in the top 25 of business travel agencies in the UK.
All 17 of QCTM’s staff will be retained as part of the new operation and in the short term will operate as normal until rebranded as Wayte Travel Management.
Chris Morris, Wayte’s managing director, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Suzie Harris and her excellent team at QCTM to the Wayte Travel family.
“Both businesses are known for their exceptional service to corporate customers with high client retention rates. We look forward to developing the combined businesses in the fast-changing environment of corporate travel management.”
Harris, who is managing director of QCTM, added: “I’m incredibly excited to join Chris and his team at Wayte Travel Management.
“The complementary nature of both businesses makes this a natural fit and I look forward to supporting continued growth, delivering opportunities to our staff, and enhancing our service offering to our corporate clients.”
The MHA Corporate Finance team led by corporate finance partner and transaction services leader, Rob Dando, alongside corporate tax partner, Chris Denning, delivered specialist financial and tax due diligence services to Wayte Travel Management to facilitate the acquisition deal.
Dando said: “Our experienced financial and tax due diligence teams have delivered another valuable piece of work for one of our clients. It has been exciting to support this transaction, bringing together two businesses that complement each other so well. MHA has a great deal of experience in the travel sector and I look forward to seeing the Wayte brand go from strength to strength.”
