Cambridge-based accountancy firm Ashcroft has announced the appointment of Heather Tulloch to the role of director in its business services department.

The appointment comes as Tulloch has been a part of the Ashcroft team since she graduated in 2008, now being an ACA and CTA-qualified accountant.

After undertaking Ashcroft’s training programme in 2016, she now reportedly is the firm’s in-house business tax specialist who oversees corporation tax compliance, in addition to working on complex tax consultancy projects.

Tulloch said: “I am over the moon to be recognised for my commitment and to be promoted to director. When first joining the team, I relished the opportunity to develop knowledge in all areas of accountancy to give me overall breadth. Since specialising in business tax, my main skill set areas lie in group restructures, selling businesses in a tax efficient way, and employee share incentive schemes.

“I feel fortunate to have started my career at a company like Ashcroft, which offers such a nurturing environment and an exciting range of work and clients. After all, there is a reason that I have stayed at the company since graduation!”

Dominic Anthony, partner at Ashcroft, said: “Our training programme is tailored to each person, because we recognise that each team member is unique. This approach creates the conditions to empower our employees to do the very best work. Heather’s experience at Ashcroft has developed her into a highly proficient all-round practitioner and she is an indispensable member of our team.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Heather for her commitment to our clients; this promotion is hard earned and whole-heartedly deserved. As a director, Heather will continue to develop her leadership role within the business and focus on the expansion of our business tax offering in the market.”
