PwC has advised the shareholders of Greencoat Limited, the animal supplement and care business including the NAF, NutriLabs, Natural VetCare and Greencoat Farm brands, on its sale to AB Agri, part of Associated British Foods plc.

AB Agri manufactures animal feed, nutrition- and technology-based products and offers data services for the agri-food industry.

The PwC corporate finance team was led by Tom Copeland, with support from Amit Aggarwal, James Cox, Chris Hobbs, Alex Griffiths and Rob Wilkinson.

Richard Cleeve, founder and chairman of Greencoat, said: “I selected PwC based on our long-standing relationship, their understanding of my business and their global reach.

“It was important for me to find the right home for the business to continue to build on our market position and success. The PwC team absolutely delivered on this, provided pragmatic advice and really helped our management team through every step of this transaction.”

Tom Copeland, added: “Working with Richard and the broader Greencoat team has been a pleasure. Richard and the team have grown Greencoat’s brands to be in market leading positions and we are delighted to have been able to support in finding a home for the business for this next phase. This transaction underlines the continued strong M&A appetite for market leading global brands.”
