Brearley & Co acquires Hart Moss Doyle

Brearley and Co has acquired Hart Moss Doyle Ltd, with all employees retained following the move, providing continuity to the client base of both firms. 

Brearley and Co is a Yorkshire-based firm that was established over 30 years ago, with offices in Mexborough, Dinnington and Barnsley. 

Hart Moss Doyle, based in Dodworth, Barnsley, was acquired in February 2021, though the firms delayed marketing this as they “prioritised introducing themselves personally to the team”.

John Hesselden, who joined Brearley & Co in the late 1980’s, manages the new office and has been spending the last 12 months “familiarising himself with the clients and adding value to the service they receive”. The team at Barnsley are supported by over 40 people at Brearley and Co’s Mexborough and Dinnington offices.
