EY-Parthenon has announced the appointment of Infrastructure specialist Francois-Xavier Delenclos.

Delenclos joins EY-Parthenon as a partner and will focus on serving infrastructure investors in the private equity team, including pension, infrastructure and sovereign wealth funds across the transport, energy and telecommunications sectors.

The firm said he brings strategy consulting and executive experience and joins from the private equity practice of a leading management consultancy.

Prior to that he was group vice president, corporate strategy and business development at AP Moller Maersk where he led a team in charge of M&A and corporate strategy in the infrastructure business covering ports and logistics. There he gained experience in M&A and divestments in multiple geographies in the Americas, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

He initially trained at McKinsey in Europe before joining their China office in 2005 to lead a variety of engagements for private equity investors and leading Infrastructure companies.

In his new role at EY-Parthenon, the firm said Delenclos will work with clients to develop investment and growth strategies, improve the performance of portfolio companies and restructure and rationalise portfolios.

He will also support clients evaluating new investment opportunities with an integrated ‘commercial – financial – tax – operational’ due diligence offer, leveraging the wider EY capabilities.

Francois-Xavier said: “I’m passionate about infrastructure investing and am excited to join EY-Parthenon to accelerate the development of our services for investors and managers of infrastructure assets.”

Steve Ivermee, EY UK&I managing partner, strategy and transactions, added: “I am delighted to welcome Francois-Xavier to expand the team at a senior level. His corporate and consulting expertise in supporting transactions and delivering tangible value to large infrastructure clients are a great addition to our existing capabilities.”
