Chartered accountants Lovewell Blake has announced two promotions at its Bury St Edmunds office, based in the town’s Hillside Business Park.

It revealed tax specialist Calvin Roll has been appointed a manager, having joined the firm last summer with over 25 years’ experience working for a variety of accountancy practices throughout East Anglia and in London.

He provides specialist tax advice to owner-managed businesses, partnerships and Trusts, as well as private clients.

Kyle Smith has been appointed a manager in the firm’s Business Services Group, where he provides compliance, tax, VAT and business advice to a range of small businesses.

He also specialises in charities and not-for-profit organisations, guiding trustees in strategic planning decisions and objectives. He joined Lovewell Blake in 2011, qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2014.

Senior partner Mark Proctor said: “I am delighted to announce these two deserved promotions. They are examples of people whose careers have flourished as a result of our policy of developing talent within the firm.”
