Moore East Midlands announces partner promotion

Grief will focus on growing the firm’s tax advisory services, particularly in the areas of inheritance tax planning, trusts and estates, and probate

Chartered accountants, Moore East Midlands has announced the promotion of Matthew Grief to partner.

Having joined Moore in 2007, Grief specialises in tax advice to both businesses and individuals and heads up the Peterborough tax department.

Grief’s promotion takes the number of partners at the Peterborough office to five.

The firm revealed Grief is fully STEP accredited (STEP is the association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning) and has recently launched the firm’s new probate service.

Geoff Norman, managing partner at Moore Peterborough, said: “I am delighted to welcome Matthew as Partner. Matthew’s promotion to Partner is a recognition of his personal contribution to the growth and development of our business, and his dedication to delivering a first-class service to clients.

Grief added: “The firm has continued to grow over the past few years despite the challenging conditions of the past 18 months, which is a testament to the incredible hard work of the entire Moore team. I am looking forward to taking on a greater role in developing both the practice and our people.”
