Lubbock Fine has announced the appointment of Phil Blackburn as partner to lead its corporate tax offering.

In his new role, Blackburn will lead the firm’s tax advisory and compliance services for owner managed businesses and corporate clients, while cultivating its rapidly expanding international tax consultancy offering.

Blackburn, who has over 30 years’ experience advising businesses and private clients, joins the firm from a West End practice.

The move marks his return to the firm having previously been a partner between 2002 and 2013.

Blackburn said: “In my experience, the firm’s client base, capabilities and quality of work is up there with the largest firms, but with a structure and culture that enables us to add a personal touch to client relationships.”

Stephen Banks, senior partner leader of the firm’s tax business unit, added: “Phil’s appointment is an important one for Lubbock Fine, as we continue to drive forward with our ambitious growth and transformation plans.

“Both our clients and the wider team stand to benefit greatly from his extensive expertise. We are very pleased to welcome Phil back to the team.”
