RSM has supported the annual British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) for the fifth year running as an independent adjudicator.
The awards, hosted by Tom Felton, reward the most innovative and creative independent filmmaking and filmmakers in the UK by “identifying and supporting emerging talent and celebrating British film at an annual event”.
RSM has partnered with BIFA for over five years to “independently verify the votes for 13 different categories, including Best British Independent Film and Best British Short film”.
In addition, RSM has partnered with the not-for-profit organisation to support the BIFA Springboard programme which “offers in-depth and expert training sessions around key elements of the production industry, providing strategic guidance, skills training and a supportive community”.
Shannon Durack-Kelly, accounting and business advisory manager at RSM, said: “It was great to partner with BIFA again this year to verify all votes and ensure transparency throughout the whole nomination and voting process.”
Vicky Gilbert, accounting and business advisory manager at RSM, added: “Despite current restrictions, it was great to see the awards go ahead online to provide a platform to celebrate the best of British filmmaking and the stellar cohort of filmmakers who were nominated this year.”
