Azets, an accountancy firm and business advisory to SMEs, is set to increase its Aberdeen headcount by 40% after moving offices in the city.

The group has taken a ten-year lease at the open-plan 37 Albyn Place property in the area’s professional services district.

Comprising 4,500 sq ft of office space, the move will facilitate Azets’ expansion of its team from 50 to over 70 staff and trainees within the next two years.

The roles will be spread across a range of seniority, including ten graduate and student placement opportunities later in 2021.

David Booth, managing partner in Aberdeen at Azets, said: “Prior to the rebrand to Azets late last year, our previous business had a long and proud tradition serving clients, entrepreneurs and families across the North East of Scotland.

“We are very much looking forward to continuing that tradition and creating new employment opportunities as the business expands, and to investing in the next generation of accountancy talent.”

He added that the firm has “great confidence” in the city, and is looking forward to supporting the region’s recovery from the “pressures and challenges of last year”.

With 160 offices across the UK and Europe, Azets employs 6,500 employees with 600 partners.
