JRW, a chartered accountancy firm, has announced two new partners at the group amid its move to a new office location.

David Clarkson and Brona MacDougall have both joined the company as partners, with Clarkson heading JRW’s new Biggar office.

The Scottish group now operates over a team of over 30 specialists throughout the Borders, Edinburgh, and Biggar.

Specialising in agriculture and road haulage, Clarkson will be tasked with “growing JRW’s presence further in the Clyde Valley and beyond”.

He said: “I am especially pleased to be heading up the firm’s newest office location in my home town of Biggar and look forward to building on my 20 years in accountancy practice.”

A specialist in agriculture and trusts, the group said that it was “delighted” to have appointed MacDougall as partner at the firm.

Keven Crawford, partner at JRW, said: ”This is an exciting appointment and tax expert Brona will continue to make a huge contribution to our business and clients going forward.

“As a specialist in agriculture and trusts, Brona has undertaken numerous inheritance and succession plans as well as business and trust restructuring plans.”
