MHA Monahans, an independent chartered accountants firm, has announced that Fiona Westwood will join the company as a partner.

Westwood enters the Taunton and Glastonbury team from her previous position as a partner at Smith & Williamson.

She will provide the group with experience specialising in advising and providing audit services to SMEs and charities.

Westwood highlighted that she was “compelled” to join the firm as their values “align well” with her own desires to proactively support clients.

She added: “Somerset is a particularly exciting place to be as there is lots of potential, especially around Taunton and Glastonbury. SME businesses are the backbone of the economy and there’s so many with promise in the region.”

With offices throughout the South West of England, MHA Monahans works to deliver professional expertise, experience, and insight through its association with MHA and Baker Tilly International.

Simon Tombs, managing partner at the group, said: “We are excited to welcome Fiona to MHA Monahans. Fiona’s appointment is an extension of our commitment to our clients and the Glastonbury and Taunton offices.

“She brings a vast amount of experience and knowledge to the team. Fiona has a wealth of experience and truly understands the intricacies of SME’s and not-for-profit organisations, which will allow her to navigate our clients seamlessly through their finances.”
