KPMG has announced several new appointments to its executive board and revealed its intentions to create a new UK Advisory Council.

Mary O’Connor will take over as head of Clients and Markets, where she will be responsible for driving growth and performance across KPMG’s non-audit business. She will replace Scott Parker, KPMG’s new head of transformational growth and EMA head of markets.

Kevin Hogarth, formerly Norton Rose Fulbright’s global director of People and Culture, will join KPMG as its chief people officer.

Rachel Hopcroft also joins the executive board as the firm’s head of Corporate Affairs.

KPMG’s new Advisory Council for the UK will offer insights and external perspectives to the board from external figures.

Bill Michael, chair of KPMG in the UK, said: “UK business leaders are facing some of the greatest challenges of their careers as they navigate economic recovery and replot their course to growth.

“Our new leadership and their teams will work closely to support our clients as they pivot their businesses and adapt to the new environment.”

Executive board appointments take effect from 1 October, with Kevin Hogarth joining KPMG from 1 November.
