Anne Whitaker has been appointed to the FRC’s Conduct Committee, which oversees the FRC’s Enforcement work, following her appointment as chair of the Audit Quality Review Committee (AQRC).

Whitaker was first appointed to the AQRC in 2016 and replaces David Cannon who has served as chair of the AQRC and a member of the Conduct Committee since September 2015.

According to the FRC, Whitaker brings a “wealth” of experience to the role having previously served as an auditor for 30 years.

Cannon stepped down as chair of AQRC and a member of the Conduct Committee on 31 August 2019. He will remain a member of AQRC until an appropriate replacement is appointed.
