Stoke on Trent insolvency practitioners, Dunion and Co, has been acquired by corporate recovery and professional services business, Begbies Traynor.

The Tunstall-based firm, which was established in 2008 and provides a full range of corporate recovery services to businesses across Staffordshire, Cheshire and beyond, will remain in its existing premises under the Begbies Traynor brand and continue to be headed up by its founder, Diane Dunion.

Dunion said: “We are delighted to be joining the Begbies Traynor fold. The opportunity to be part of a hugely successful and growing national brand was really compelling and made for a strong fit with our considerable expertise in the insolvency and restructuring field.

“The addition of such a sizeable corporate professional services firm to Stoke on Trent is welcome news for the city and wider Staffordshire business community at a time when an increasing number of firms are requiring bespoke advice to help them tackle financial and operational challenges.”
