Kreston Reeves has announced they will plant one tree for every client, every year, in an attempt to achieve its goal of being carbon neutral by the end of 2021 following the release of its CSR impact report.
The trees are planted with Ecologi, which uses Eden Reforestation Projects to plant trees around the world. All of their reforestation projects work to help restore and create ecosystems and provide employment to local people.
James Peach, partner and head of CSR at Kreston Reeves, said: “We’re excited to confirm that we have started our Kreston Reeves Forest by planting almost 17,000 trees this year. We have supported reforestation projects located in Madagascar and Mozambique.
“We’re incredibly proud of how committed and passionate our people are about CSR whether it is giving back to their local, regional, national or international communities – through charity fundraising, volunteering their time or taking action against climate change.
He added: “Our impact report once again demonstrates the brilliant effort made by our dedicated CSR, Wellbeing, Sports and Social teams, as well as the staff forum and the Kreston Reeves Foundation.
“It’s vitally important that we all, individually and as businesses, do what we can to take action against the climate crisis that we all face. It is one of our focus areas in terms of CSR so we’re looking forward to continuing to watch our forest grow to further reduce our carbon footprint and to become carbon neutral by the end of the year.”
