Vibrant names Lauren Hiller as head of tax
Hiller brings a decade of experience working at Cooper Parry to the firm, as well as a previous stint at Grant Thornton
Vibrant Accountancy, a Derby accountancy and business advice company, has announced the appointment of Lauren Hiller as the group’s head of tax.
Expanding the team to seven members, Hiller will be responsible for a range of tax-related issues, including personal and corporate tax and project-based tax tasks.
Hiller brings a decade of experience working at Cooper Parry to the firm, as well as a previous stint at Grant Thornton.
She said: “Vibrant is a fast-growing business and I admire just how very different they are; they’re disrupters in an industry which has a reputation for being ‘stuffy’ and the company has a real ‘family feel’ to it.
“They’re accountants but so much more; they’re very personal and hands-on with their clients and I like that.”
While Beverley Wakefield, co-founder at Vibrant, will continue to work on tax-related matters, Hiller will now act as the group’s first point of contact for tax queries.
Wakefield said: “I have worked with Lauren at Cooper Parry and Ian and I are delighted to welcome her to the team. Lauren joins Vibrant at an exciting time; we’re growing and changing.
“We want to become the first accountants of our size in the East Midlands to supplement core bookkeeping, tax advice, VAT and year-end cloud-based accounting services with mentoring, coaching and general business support as part of a holistic approach to our clients.”
She added that “there will be subsequent appointments” made to both “disrupt the market” and cause other accountancy firms to “raise the bar”.
