Hazlewoods, a Top 25 UK accountancy firm, is sponsoring a charity ‘Spinathon’ event for Maggie’s in Cheltenham – a charity which provides free cancer support.

The event, which is running between 26 June and 18 July 2021, will see ex-Hazlewoods Partner, Mark Beaney, cycle 2,100 miles, to raise money for the charity.

Hazlewoods is sponsoring the event, and on Sunday 18 July it will be the ‘Hazlewoods day’. The 70-mile route for the day will start at the Hazlewoods office on Bayshill Road in Cheltenham and pass by the Staverton office.

Hazlewoods staff will be joining Beaney for the day to “encourage” him along during the penultimate weekend of his challenge. Some will also be cycling indoors at CLC Health and Fitness Centre.

Jon Cartwright, Hazlewoods partner, said: “This is an incredible challenge that Mark is taking on and we’re very pleased to be able to support it. Maggie’s is a fantastic local charity that we were happy to be able to work with in our centenary year.

“We wish Mark, and everyone taking part, the best of luck and look forward to following everyone’s progress on social media.”
