RSM supports EMS Group secure £7m funding package

RSM’s Ashley Suter, Kevin Le and Jack Williams advised EMS Group on the funding deal

RSM’s debt advisory team has helped EMS Group secure a total funding package of £7m from ThinCats to support an “ambitious” growth strategy.

The EMS Group specialises in designing, manufacturing, and managing high-tech mobile medical vehicles.

The Chester-based business employs 56 staff and works with both public and private healthcare providers to deliver much needed additional capacity in a range of clinical services including endoscopy, ophthalmology, and decontamination.

The funding will allow further investment in their fleet as the business expands its service into clinical trials after being awarded a large-scale trial that will begin in August in conjunction with the NHS and a major UK research institution.

In addition to the healthcare division, the marketing side of the business manages a mobile fleet that delivers standout event spaces for brands such as Adidas, Range Rover and Lego.

RSM’s Ashley Suter, Kevin Le and Jack Williams advised EMS Group on the funding deal.

Ashley Suter, who leads RSM’s debt advisory service in the North West, said: “Today’s investment will support the EMS Group to manufacture more units to help the NHS recover after the Covid-19 pandemic delivering extra capacity to meet the increased demand; whilst providing innovative marketing suites to support brands once the restrictions are lifted.”
